Industrial Ammonia (NH₃) Condensers

Custom-engineered horizontal shell and tube ammonia condensers built strictly with non-copper metallurgy to handle highly aggressive R717 refrigerants. Sourced with seamless carbon steel or high-grade stainless steel tube bundles, these units deliver maximum heat rejection and leak-free operations inside heavy industrial cold storage and ice plants.

Ammonia-Safe Non-Copper Fabrication & Structural Integrity

Ammonia-Safe Metallurgy (Zero Copper): Ammonia (R717) is an aggressively corrosive chemical agent to copper, yellow metals, and brass alloys, triggering rapid stress-corrosion cracking and component failures. To ensure complete chemical compatibility, our ammonia condensers are fabricated strictly using seamless low-carbon steel or high-grade stainless steel (SS304/SS316L) tube bundles, preventing fluid cross-contamination.

Advanced Weld Integrity & NDT Inspections: Given the toxic and flammable nature of Ammonia, ensuring absolute joint integrity is paramount. Our tubesheets are precision CNC-drilled, and tube-to-tubesheet joint interfaces are welded using automated orbital TIG procedures. Every unit undergoes rigorous helium leak detection, radiography, and dye-penetrant NDT inspections to guarantee leak-free operation.

Maximum Thermal Heat Rejection: Featuring horizontal multi-pass configurations, we custom calculate baffle cuts and spacings to optimize water velocity within the steel tubes. This engineering approach ensures maximum heat transfer coefficients and lowers condensing pressures, reducing compressor power consumption in large cold storage facilities and ice manufacturing plants.

ENGINEERING FEATURES

Calculated and Fabricated for Demanding Thermal Loops

Every condenser is modeled with specific thermodynamic profiles. Below are the key engineering specifications built into our Ammonia designs:

Non-Copper Alloys

Constructed exclusively with low-carbon steel or SS304/SS316L, ensuring 100% resistance to ammonia stress-cracking.

Orbital TIG Sealing

Tube joints are orbitally TIG-welded , creating robust structural seals that survive high-pressure vibrations and thermal shocks.

Strict NDT Testing

Units undergo hydrostatic pressure testing at 35 Bar, helium leak tests, and radiography to guarantee maximum operational safety.
